Steven Weixel
I graduated from the College of Engineering at UC Santa Barbara with a Bachelor of Science in Computer Science in 2001. I work as the lead programmer on various Visual Basic, .NET, C++, and MS Office automation projects.

I started to get into photography around 1993, when I was a freshman at Dos Pueblos High School. I joined our yearbook the next year, and eventually became the head photographer/photography editor during my senior year. Many of the pictures in my sports gallery were taken for the yearbook, and most of those were from the last year.

Unfortunately the demands of work and school kept me away from photography for a while, but I took a European cruise on the Splendour of the Seas in 2000, and an Alaskan cruise on the Legend of the Seas in 2002 which yielded many great photographs. Additionally, in the last few years I have been to several nearby national parks, including Zion, Bryce Canyon, Joshua Tree, the Channel Islands (underwater), and Yosemite.

Kimberly! I met my girlfriend Kimberly in the beginning of this year. What can I say except that I've fallen madly in love and want to spend the rest of my life with her? She will graduate from UC Santa Barbara with a Bachelor of Arts in Philosophy this summer.

We were planning on going on a cruise this summer after she graduates, but instead I'm selling my condo and buying a nice house across town.

The condo was nice but its time to move on; I wanted more room, and a garage where I could park my car. In the Santa Barbara area, homes are certainly not cheap, but then neither are condos. I enjoyed nearly 50% appreciation in the 2+ years that I owned it, which allowed to to take my equity and put it in the house.
