Textures
This gallery contains close-up shots of interesting objects and everyday things that we saw on our trip. We got many funny looks while taking some of these but the results speak for themselves. |

Tahitian Princess
Pictures of, on, and around the ship, the Tahitian Princess. It is a small ship, a little under 700 passengers, but it was nice and we got to meet a lot of other people. During the days at sea, we went on a galley tour and there was a game of pool volleyball. |

Sunsets at Sea
We were hoping for some more dramatic skies considering the exotic location, but most of the time there were lots of low-level clouds that went dark before the colors changed. We still got some nice sunsets... enjoy. |

Snorkeling
We went snorkeling at every island we went to, usually with a "shore excusrion" but sometimes on our own. The best parts were seeing the rays and sharks at Moorea, and the coral barrier reef at Bora Bora. All of these pictures were taken with Steve's Canon PowerShot S30 in a WP-DC300 underwater housing. |

Rarotonga
Rarotonga is the capital island of the Cook Island chain, which is associated with New Zealand rather than French Polynesia; they speak English and drive on the wrong side of the road. We got there on September 28, after a day at sea, and took the circle island tour, on which Kim volunteered Steve to help husk a coconut. Later we went snorkeling at Muri Beach. |

Raiatea
Raiatea was the largest island we visited (except Tahiti), allowing us to dock and walk ashore rather than take tenders. We wandered around the shops in town during the morning, took a boat out to a private motu for snorkeling in the afternoon, and a nice sunset cruise in the evening. |

|
Papeete
Papeete was the beginning and ending of our cruise. The first day after we arrived we went on a 4x4 trip up the Papenoo valley to see waterfalls. The last day, while we were waiting for our flight, we wandered around town, did some shopping, then relaxed our feet in the hot tub. |

|
Moorea
This island was the last stop before we returned to Papeete. We were there all day October 3, and took the circle island & Belvedere lookout tour in the morning and went snorkeling with rays & sharks and at coral gardens in the afternoon. |

Kim & Steve
Pictures of us, together and individually. For the ones where we are together, usually we had someone take it for us, but some of them we held the camer ourselves. That is not easy to do with the big & heavy 10D! |
|
|
Huahine
Huahine was the first stop, on September 26. We walked to the bridge connecting the islands in the morning and went snorkeling in the afternoon. |
|
|
Bora Bora
We arrived at Bora Bora around noon on October 1, spent the night there, and the whole next day. While there we took the island highlights tour, and went snorkeling with the rays and at the barrier reef. |

Art
We enjoyed frequenting the art auctions aboard the ship, and bought a few painting to hang on the walls of our house and remember our honeymoon forever. |
