As I mentioned in my last weekly summary, I got a Garmin Edge 305 for my 28th birthday. Kim knew that it was the only thing I wanted for my birthday and she managed to arrange to split the cost with my parents. I’ve been using with it all week and have learned a lot about it, but I was especially looking forward to taking it up Old San Marcos today (and Painted Cave tomorrow). It showed pretty much what I expected, 1,200 feet gained in just under 3 miles. Update: it took a bit of work (and involved some manual editing), but I was able to isolate the climb from the rest of the ride.
My Monday ride took me out along...
